(permalink) Terry Gilliam: the difference between Kubrick (great filmmaker) and Spielberg (less so) – Boing Boing

He touches a point I feel is becoming a problem. I don’t know whether it is because I’m older and more aware of how much we’re pushed into this state of comforting, being eased into a kind of drugged state of mind or whether it truly is of malice of the times we live in. Or perhaps I just feel that I am slipping into such a state and am revolting by reacting harsh when in fact we are living in interesting times (the Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street, …).
